Male Amur Tiger Flehmening
Amur Tiger at Dartmoor Zoological Park. Male tigers use a behaviour called "Flehmen" to determine a female's reproductive condition. This behaviour, which includes a characteristic grimace, involves smelling the female's urine to determine if she is in heat.
